Nyvrane ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Transpose mobile application (the "Service").
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Data That Stays On Your Device
The following data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded to our servers:
Local Audio Files: You can select and play audio/video files stored on your device. Pitch/speed processing happens entirely on your device's local processor. Your files are never uploaded to or copied onto any server.
Voice Recordings: Karaoke recordings you create are stored entirely in your device's local storage and are never uploaded or shared.
Local Library: Your song library and per-song settings (pitch, speed, EQ, loop points, favorites) are stored in a local database on your device.
Web Browser Cookies: If you log in to YouTube or another site via the app's built-in browser, your login session and cookies are stored only on your device (in the Android WebView storage area). We do not have access to this data.
2. Data Collected by Third-Party Services
Our app uses the following third-party services, each of which may collect data as described below. We do not control how these services process data beyond what is described here — please review their own privacy policies for full details.
Google AdMob (Advertising): Our app uses Google AdMob to display ads, including a rewarded ad option. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), IP address, and cookies to serve personalized or non-personalized ads and measure ad performance. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before any personalized advertising occurs. You can review or change your ad consent choices at any time from Profile > Privacy Settings in the app. More information: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage (such as which features are used and general performance/crash trends) in an aggregated, non-identifying way. This may include device model, OS version, app version, and general usage events. This data is processed by Google in accordance with the Firebase privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Firebase Crashlytics: If the app crashes or encounters an error, technical diagnostic information (such as device model, OS version, and a stack trace) is automatically sent to help us fix the issue. This data does not include the content of your audio files or personal identifiers.
Google Play Billing: If you purchase a subscription or lifetime unlock, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We receive only your entitlement status (e.g., "subscribed" or "not subscribed") from Google Play to unlock features — we never see or store your payment details.
Google Play Age Signals API: On supported devices, our app may query Google Play's Age Signals API to receive an approximate age range signal, used solely to support compliance with regional age-verification requirements (such as Texas SB 2420). We do not store this signal on any server.
YouTube and Other Web Content: Our app includes a built-in web browser to let you access platforms like YouTube. Content you access through this browser is subject to the respective provider's own terms and privacy policy. Our app does not use the YouTube API Services directly and does not record your watch history, search history, or credentials. YouTube Terms of Service: youtube.com/t/terms — Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
3. Permissions
The following permissions may be requested for the app to function:
Storage/File Access: Required to select, transpose, and save local audio/video files and recordings.
Microphone Access: Required to record your voice while performing karaoke.
Internet Access: Required for the built-in web browser, to serve advertisements, and to verify your subscription status.
Notifications: Required to show playback controls (play/pause/next/previous) in the notification shade and lock screen while music plays in the background.
4. Your Privacy Rights
4.1 Ad Personalization (All Users)
You can review and change your advertising consent preferences at any time from Profile > Privacy Settings in the app. Regardless of your location, you can also control ad personalization at the device level via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization."
4.2 GDPR (European Economic Area / UK)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (including for personalized advertising, via Profile > Privacy Settings) without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
4.3 CCPA/CPRA (California, USA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information is collected about you; request deletion of personal information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are defined under CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell your personal information. Advertising identifiers may be considered "shared" for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes under CPRA; you can limit this using the ad personalization controls described in Section 4.1, or via Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where supported.
4.4 Other Jurisdictions
If you reside in a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws (e.g., Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA), you may have comparable rights. Please contact us using the details in Section 10 to exercise any applicable rights.
4.5 No Account, No Server-Side Personal Data
Since we do not operate user accounts or store personal data on our own servers, there is no in-app account or personal data for us to delete on request — any data associated with third-party services (Firebase, AdMob, etc.) can be managed through your Google Account privacy settings at myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy. To exercise any right described above, contact us at the email address in Section 10 — we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
5. Data Security
We do not operate our own servers that store your personal files or personal data — your audio files, recordings, and library remain on your device. Data exchanged with third-party services described in Section 2 (AdMob, Firebase, Google Play) is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
6. Data Retention
Locally stored audio files, voice recordings, and your song library remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
WebView login sessions/cookies (Section 1) persist locally until you clear the in-app browser data or clear the app's storage; we have no access to or copy of this data.
Diagnostic, crash, and analytics data collected by Firebase is retained according to Google/Firebase's standard retention periods, as described in Firebase's own documentation and privacy policy.
If you purchase a subscription or lifetime unlock and later cancel, your entitlement status is retained only as long as necessary to reflect your current access, consistent with Google Play Billing's own data practices.
7. Children's Privacy
Transpose is intended for a general audience aged 18 and over, as declared in our Google Play store listing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.
8. International Data Transfers
Some of the third-party services we use (see Section 2) may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. These third parties maintain appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable) to protect your information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update our privacy policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
