This Privacy Policy explains how MotionSync (hereinafter referred to as the "App") collects, uses, and safeguards the information of its users (hereinafter referred to as "User" or "You"). By downloading and using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
MotionSync requests access to specific device features to improve user experience and perform its core functions. However, the App does not collect, store, or sell any of your personal data (name, email, physical address, health data, etc.) on its own servers, nor does it share such data with third parties.
The essential permissions and hardware access the App requires to function properly include:
The App integrates trusted third-party services for core functionality, ad serving, in-app purchases, and regulatory compliance. These services may collect certain anonymous device identifiers subject to their own privacy policies:
In addition to the descriptions in Section 1, the following is the technical permission list requested by the App and why:
MotionSync does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, location, photos, or files.
Your local preferences and app settings (e.g., selected theme, dot size, speed settings) are stored locally and securely (via SharedPreferences) within your device's memory. This data is never transmitted to any external server. An internet connection is only utilized to load advertisements and verify Google Play purchases.
Since MotionSync does not operate its own servers and stores no personal data outside your device, there is no server-side retention period for personal data. Your local preferences and settings remain on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall it. Activity-recognition signals used for auto-activation are processed transiently in real time and are not stored, even locally, beyond the current session. Any anonymous device identifiers collected by AdMob/Google Play (Section 2) are retained according to those providers' own retention periods.
MotionSync is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If it is discovered that a child under 13 has provided personal data (for example, via advertising identifiers), that information will be promptly deleted from the systems (in accordance with the standard procedures of the integrated third-party tools).
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following applies:
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information is collected about you; request deletion of personal information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are defined under CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell your personal information. Advertising identifiers may be considered "shared" for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes under CPRA; you can limit this using the ad personalization controls described in Section 7.1, or via Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where supported.
If you reside in a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws (e.g., Brazil's LGPD, Canada's PIPEDA), you may have comparable rights. Please contact us using the details in Section 9 to exercise any applicable rights.
Some of the third-party services we use (see Section 2) may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. These third parties maintain appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable) to protect your information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
If you have any questions, feedback, or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, our data practices, or the use of MotionSync, please contact us via the developer contact channels provided on the app store (Google Play) or through our support email address.
The developer reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. This page will be updated if there are significant changes to the app's functions or the third-party services used. New policies are effective immediately upon being posted on this page. Users are advised to review this page periodically for any updates.
